here are just a few of the details from my latest scissors.paper.cake project- a safari party! it was a 4th birthday for a boy who loves reptiles and animals. i loved the colour scheme for this and i'm so happy with how it turned out. clever mum, lisa, also out together alot of really cute details including this amazing table:

our little men party!

here are some cute details from an 'our little men' party, it was a combined 2nd birthday and baptism for two brothers- how sweet!

threadcakes!

i haven't decorated a cake or cupcakes just for fun in a really long time, so im seriously thinking about making the time to enter this years threadcakes competition.... hmm!

threadcakes is the most awesome cake competition based on threadless tshirt designs, above are a few of my favourite; The Cat Who Mistook His Wife (and the Kids, and the Furniture and Even the Parrot) for a Hat, clean monster, mr cloud's new scarf, spoiled milk. 

i think the hardest part will be picking a design- there are so many to choose from!

macarons- ooh la la!

i made macarons for the first time the other week, they were SO delicious! it makes me really miss paris- this time last year i was there and eating so many pastries- *sigh* heaven!

souvenirs

while i was in singapore i was able to pick up some more japanese candy to add to my collection! i am OBSESSED with japanese candy- especially puccho, a while ago i made puccho cupcakes for a friend and it has since become one of my most popular designs on flickr:

bridal shower

i have been looking forward to this one for ages! we were asked to put together a small cake table and favours for a bridal shower held at The Tea Room Gunners Barracks. we were given the design breif of blue, apricot and birds.  

nathalie custom designed the perfect invitation which made it easy for me to design some cute matching birdcage cookies. i have wanted to make a peony sugar flower for ages, i love blue and apricot and have had this cake design in my head for a while now.  i sourced some cute vintage milk glass vases from etsy and cake stand from a local antique store. i then just got mixed 'nanna style' flowers to suit the old fashioned milk glass look.

it was all really beautiful and the venue is gorgeous. i was really happy with how it all turned out, i just wish the lighting was a bit nicer (and i had a bit more time) to get some better photos- oh well, that always seems to happen!
