macedonia!!

 

here are a few holiday pics from macedonia! i have had the most AMAZING time here, we spent the first few nights in ohrid by the lake and it was just so so so so so amazingly beautiful and so so so so so relaxing! *sigh*

i am not good with words so i cant really explain how wonderful it has been but hopefully the pics give you an idea... the lake is so clear, the towns are so cute, the colours everywhere are fantastic, the fruit is AMAZING- the cherries are the most amazing red, everything is so cheap (for europe and compared to australia), everything is so relaxed, and everyone is amazingly genuinely friendly and helpful..... it has been just a perfect holiday!

i will try not to bore you with too many travel photos but here are a few of my favourite pics from vienna- i think it is just one of the most beautiful cities in the world- everything is just so so so pretty, everything is so decorative and the colours of the buildings remind me of wedding cakes!

wedding style guide out now!

the always super gorgeous wedding style guide is out now!! i designed this simple cake to suit the typography theme... i really love the way it turned out!

i'm looking forward to picking up a copy as soon as i am back!

cella's tea party featured in cosmo pregnancy and the party dress magazine!

earlier in the year i styled this gorgeous tea party for cosmo pregnancy. although it was for a 2 year old, it would also perfectly suit a kitchen tea, birthday party or baby shower....!

a very cuoooot owl christening cake!

this cake turned out pretty cuoooote!! the bottom tier was designed to match the invitation and maria wanted to incorporate a cute owl somehow.. so this is how it turned out! unfortunately the lighting was terrible that day and i am so disappointed that i didnt get a photo that captures how sweet this cake was... can someone pleeeeaase order it so that i have a good excuse to make it again??!

i also put together a mini dessert table with these cute little buttercream cupcakes, meringues and mint balls all to match the colour scheme and owl theme. the cute little bomboniere cookie jars were supplied by polka dot cookies.

julia and geoff's wedding cake

i really really really love my job!


i made this cake for the sweetest couple, julia and geoff, their wedding was yesterday at the beautiful dunbar house on watson's bay and they wanted a simple cake with a blue and white colour scheme and bird toppers. the rest was up to me and she was looking forward to the surprise.... i didnt realise how much pressure that was- to surprise someone on their wedding day!

i was SO RELIEVED (and so happy!) today when i received the loveliest text from julia saying that they absolutely loved it, that the wedding was wonderful, the cake was delicious and that the cake made their night! oh that is just so so so lovely to hear and it makes my job so so so rewarding! 

*sigh of happiness*
