champagne and david austin roses!

i am quite in love with this wedding cake i made last week, i think it is just so romantic and so sweet! i designed it to suit the champagne, cream and white colour scheme with a romantic, lace design and david austin sugar roses... sigh!

up, up and away!

earlier in the year i made christian's super cute owl christening cake (see post here!) and last weekend it was his first birthday!! maria and i had the exact same idea to turn my cute little heart balloon design into a hot air balloon cake and i think it turned out so so so sweet!! maria did a FANTASTIC job arranging this adorable sweet table (thanks maria for the photo!), i supplied the cake, cupcakes, cookies, coconut ice and cake pops and she organised the rest including gorgeous printables by mon tresor...

jessie and todds wedding!

 

i have had the most amazing time in london teaching at fair cake's beautiful vanilla workshop! i have so so so many parties, cakes and classes to post about but i will start with lovely jessies dessert table. i was lucky enough to work with jessie for both her kitchen tea and her wedding- she really was just the sweetest, sweetest bride and i was just so, so excited for her wedding day. it was held at the stunning silo restaurant and lounge at honeysuckle, newcastle which provided the perfect back drop to the table. the sweets included a delicious caramel mud cake with dark chocolate ganache along with buttercream and decorated vanilla bean cupcakes, vanilla sugar cookies, meringues and range of white lollies. it was quite a simple, but such a gorgeous dessert table!

a simple, elegant wedding cake with piped detail and brush embroidery technique. based on a picture i was given of a square cake with feather cut outs.

tegan's baby shower

i have been looking forward to this baby shower for ages! tegan first contacted me in may to start organising her baby shower, i knew that the time would go fast- but not this fast! tegan wanted a babushka themed baby shower and since the sex was unkown she wanted the colour scheme to be yellow, peach and cornflour blue. nathalie made a very cute custom design and i put together the rest of the sweets and a tea party to match- i think it all turned out so so so sweet!

i made this very sweet cake for little Gabriella's christening to match the Imprintables oh so sweet invitation, it was adjusted for a pink and mint colour scheme and to include a bow- i think it all turned out quite cute!

engagement shoot

a couple of weeks ago i had the pleasure of working with photographer justin aaron, helping style this super gorgeous engagement shoot. corrine and brad are such a cute couple and it was such a relaxed, lovely sunday afternoon in beautiful newcastle. justin did such an amazing job capturing these beautiful images and i cant stop sighing over how perfectly sweet they are....

it was so much fun working with them all and i cant wait to work on their wedding later in the year!

early mornings

in my job there are alot of late nights and alot of early mornings, i was so happy when i had a baby shower to set up in newcastle- i didnt have to drive 2 hours to sydney first!! but then i found out it was a 10 am start so i had to arrive at 6am to set up... so no sleep in for me. lucky i got to look out over this beautiful sunrise all morning!
