no words can describe how much i love the work of cat rabbit- her use of colour, cuteness and awesomeness is just so so so prefect! when i was in melbourne i was lucky enough to catch her exhibition- here are some pics of the amazing cuteness! 

the exhibition runs until the 8th of May in the federation square atrium- be sure to visit if you can!!

i have just got back from a lovely easter break! i had lots of chocolate over easter and then headed to melbourne for a little trip, i then attended a 3 day course at planet cake last weekend... it was a big week! i will share some pics of the course soon but for now here are some of my favourite pics from melbourne!

holiday, celebrate!

yay! i will be escaping winter this year and going on a much needed holiday! yup i will be that cat! i will be unavailable for orders from the 13th of June until the 31st of July.

i can send cookies, cupcake toppers and decoration sets before i go but please book in your order as soon as possible... also i wont be as easily contactable during that time so please organise any august parties or cake orders with me as early as possible...  thanks!!!

here are a couple of cute bomboniere cookies that i have made over the past few weeks, i think they make just the sweetest gift! oh and i especially love the personalised labels by imprintables!

a couple of weeks ago i made these cute matching boy and girl cakes for a combined birthday party based on the HiPP little people bird invitation. clever mum alexandra put together such a sweet party including some gorgeous tags and tableware by sambellina. here are some more lovely details...!

one of the lovely things about my job is that i get to be a part of peoples special days, and i am always so happy when my customers return for another occasion... here are some cute little orange fish cupcakes that i made for axles first birthday, you might remember his cute whale christening cake!

i put together this party yesterday based on our scissors.paper.cake superhero party posted here. i thought red would be a good main colour to suit both but then my inspiration for the colour scheme came from my cupboard...!

gorgeous kitchen tea part 2

in addition to enjoying an amazingly beautiful afternoon tea, the guests also made bath tea bags! this is such a great idea for an activity!

romi explained- "guests were given a little instruction card to make up their own mixtures of bath teas or they could follow our suggested recipes .... we had oatmeal, lavender, rose petals, goats milk powder, lemon verbena, orange peel, epsom salts and jugs of various yummy essential oils. The idea was they could mix, blend and create whatever fragrance they liked. I then heat sealed the bags and gave back to them (in the little brown heart bags you see pictured) to enjoy in their baths at home. It was a huge success!!"

*sigh* i am still sighing over these photos!!
