yes! an alice in wonderland inspired tea party! i set this sweet table up the night before so it isnt quite complete but the whole party looked so amazing! clever mum, megan, put together the most gorgeous tea party table for 10 little guests, made even more spectacular by a big beautiful mirror on the wall *sigh* ... i wish i was invited!
anyway there were so many cute details in this party i might need to do another post...

polly's candy party!
last weekend scissors.paper.cake worked with Mandi (from Babyology) to recreate our candy party for her daughter, Polly. the party was held in a cute playground in woollahra (conveniently across the road from the donna hay general store!) and the sweets included dutch chocolate mud cake, raspberry and coconut cupcakes, sugar cookies, chocolate box petite fours, freshly squeezed pink lemonade, honey popcorn and mixed lollies... so much sugar for such a little girl!
now its back to work! here is a hint about this weeks party!

wedding cake #2 !
this was my second wedding cake of the week! i love making wedding cakes, it is so nice to be a part of peoples special day and this couple were so sweet! this cake was based on a faye cahil design, originally i had planned a heart as the topper but then they wanted an 'eat me' one which also looked really cute. i also made matching alice in wonderland cupcakes as bonbonniere, packaged with eat me tags that they supplied.

wedding cake #1
this is my first wedding cake of the week! i had a last minute offer from a local wedding magazine for a free spot in the mag, the theme was a garden wedding with a mint and coral colour scheme and so i made this based on my bridal shower cake (blogged about here).

afternoon tea party!
the other day i helped nathalie put together a tea party for her friend. the sweets list included raspberry and coconut cupcakes, french vanilla macarons, vanilla cake with buttercream icing, turkish delight and sugar cookies. some of the cute details included poppies in milk glass vases, doillies, tea cups and saucers, cake plates and stands all sourced from my local antique store.
unfortunately i didnt get many good photos- the afternoon shade was very blue and glarey... :( but it turned out really cute and would be so perfect for a bridal kitchen tea or baby shower! next week is a BIG weddding week- i have 3 wedding cakes to do and a wedding magazine shoot- wish me luck!
