last year I had the pleasure of meeting alarna from little jane st at magnolia square- i just love her work, it is so original and so beautiful. anyway i was so excited to see these gorgeous journals pop up on her blog, i can't wait for them to be instore!

50's style buttercream sponge cake

my sister requested a sponge cake with buttercream icing for her birthday, so i made this cute 50's style cake! it was really hard to ice sponge cake with cream filling (it took me longer than a fondant cake!) so it turned out a bit messy- but i think it adds to the charm! anyway, i will definitely be trying this one again, it was very, very cute and so so SO delicious!

busy busy busy!

I have been busy lately styling and photograhing products for the gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous new imprintables website. These pics are some of my favourite! Oh and some of my sweets made a guest appearance!

teddy bears picnic

one of my favourite memories from kindergarten was the day we had our teddybears picnic, i brought my favourite teddy bear (sarah), tiny teddies and honey jumbles to school ... so fun! anyway! it is such a cute party idea and i made these cupcakes and cookies for a little boy's 1st birthday.

i made them to match nathalies very very cute invitation, but i made them a little more boy-y and the mum wanted some pandas and bees aswell.

here are just a few of the details from my latest scissors.paper.cake project- a safari party! it was a 4th birthday for a boy who loves reptiles and animals. i loved the colour scheme for this and i'm so happy with how it turned out. clever mum, lisa, also out together alot of really cute details including this amazing table:
